What clothing do I need?
Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate outdoor clothing. We recommend a layered approach:
- Base layer (avoid cotton — it holds moisture)
- Mid-layer like a fleece or jumper
- Waterproof jacket and trousers
- Sturdy boots or shoes with good grip
- Hat and gloves, even in warmer months (it can get chilly in the woods)
Avoid jeans or anything that gets heavy when wet. Choose practical, robust clothing that you don’t mind getting a bit muddy — you’ll be sitting, kneeling, and moving through woodland terrain.
What food do I need?
We provide hot drinks and rustic snacks cooked on the fire, but we recommend bringing your own packed lunch — especially if you have specific dietary requirements. We’re unable to store or safely prepare personal food, so please bring anything you’ll need to stay well-fed during the day.
